Description
Vespula (Yellowjacket) consuming an Orthoptera , possibly a Tettigoniidae ( katydid)
I saw this yellow jacket take down this insect, it was very rapid. I kept getting closer to observe this, it was interesting to see this yellow jacket attack what I originally thought was a grasshopper, but perhaps is a katydid. It certainly is being dismembered quickly.
