Description

This "ladybug" and the others were all found on eucalyptus trees, within close proximity of one another. Mating was observed between this kind of beetle and some of the grayer ones, with this beetle being mounted (suggesting that it is female).

I hypothesize that these beetles are related, but under heavy selective pressure to speciate.
