Poor Salamanders, with no snow in the Olympics there is no spring melt and their bog is drying out. These eggs were left high and dry.
I'm sure these are Ambystoma gracile. There were some tadpoles with legs in what is left of the water. I put about two liters of river water back into the hole, but not knowing if intervention would help or hurt I was afraid to do more than that. These eggs looked like there were no embryos in them but the week before they were very much alive.
The second picture was taken two weeks earlier and shows the same egg with water. I did scoot some of the eggs down to the water.
