Baird's Sparrow
Ammodramus bairdii
This bird was in a patch of dead grass which had been treated with herbicide by the refuge to get rid of some exotic, invasive vegetation. Several Baird's Sparrows were foraging in this dead grass on the edge of very green. lush, habitat.
