This Grey-crested Helmet-shrike was in a mixed flock with White-crested Helmet-shrike. There were intermediates in the flock and it seems that the Lake Nakuru birds are hybridising freely. In fact this bird although showing most features of Grey-crested probably has White-crested genes in it as the crest is perhaps a little too white and the area round the eye not dark enough.
