Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, Auckland Central, Albert Park.
Habitat: Acacia melanoxylon. Cultivated tree. I noticed several large ladybird larvae yesterday evening, but didn't grab one until today. Before that, I had never seen the species anywhere. In the past, I have observed Dicranosterna semipunctata (possible prey for the ladybird) on this very tree, but I didn't notice any sign of it there today, so the ladybirds are presumably feeding on psyllids.
Identification: Cleobora mellyi (Mulsant, 1850). Larva.
