Tibicen parallelus (MALE)

These small cicadas occur in mountain canyons and low desert, but do not appear in great numbers. Perhaps I was collecting during the wrong part of the year or they are very spotty in distribution. They do seem to occur in areas where water is more abundant (speaking of deserts, everything relative).
