Description

17.5 inch. I didn't realize that it wasn't a channel cat until I had it on the cutting board. The fins definitely had a red color indicative of white catfish. They are the largest native catfish in the Potomac but have been forced into marginal areas like the C&O canal by invasive blue, channel, and flathead catfish. I saw small 4-8 inch baby white cats feeding in the canal all summer.
