A very rare bird that has been present for three or more days . It was also here last year . It was with thousands of gulls apparently eating Herring roe . Note that this is an adult coming out of winter plumage . Note the very pale eyes , the beak is more slender and paler than most Western Gulls . A life bird for me and Hank Fabian . My witnesses included Bob Dunn and Denise Wight among others .
