Description

This is the moth with the huge proboscis that Darwin predicted must exist to match the existence of an orchid with a very long spur (Angraecum sesquipedale). A couple cool videos about this story:

I can't believe I didn't know I took pictures of this species until 6 years after the fact! It's one of my absolute favorite evolutionary biology stories!
