Size is about 15mm long. Sorry that I couldn't get better photos of it. It stayed inside my home for several days, possibly sheltering from strong winds.

I've seen several examples of this odd-looking insect over the last 25 years. Only seen one on occasions over that time. Biggest one I've seen was about twice this size. Always puzzled me what it is. It reminds me of a Praying Mantis when it moves (sort of slow, jerking motion). Very delicate body type. I've no idea what it feeds on.
