First heard the call of this Downy while hiking through the Lost Pines Trail at Ray Roberts Lake State Park-Isle Du Bois.
After looking up and around I noticed this beautiful Female Downy Woodpecker. Although they look similar to hairy woodpeckers, she seemed smaller overall and the beak wasn't as large.
