Description

After dinner this evening I went out on the deck to see if any moths might be on the walls. I did not see any, but looking up I saw a very large bat hanging from an electrical cord. The bat looks 7 to 8 inches long and watched me as I moved around with a flashlight looking at it. He did not like the flash from the camera, but stayed put and is still hanging there as I enter this submission. I'm sure some of you will have some info on this nice looking critter. For size reference, the white electrical cord is the standard type of cord which would have a plug on the end to plug into a wall socket. Certainly one of the larger bats I've ever seen!
