Common name is Deep Burrower or if it's on your menu, Gooey Duck.
Lives in relatively shallow waters in Golden Bay and was commercially overfished some decades back by scuba divers.
Thankfully they are gradually recovering.
Considered a great delicacy, the digging muscle has a rather erotic appearance similar sized and shaped to a human male appendage.
