Place

Ruby Bay (Google, OSM)

Description

Slender Wentletrap.

Largest and commonest of the Wentletraps, more so in the north half of the North Island. Seems to share habitat with Wheel Shells as they are frequently found together on litter lines.

Differs from other wentletraps [Epitonium] by having spiral ridging between the larger axial ridges. This specimen is beach worn.
