Description

Annual plant erecting a sturdy, herbaceous stalk found growing at heights between 6" to 36". Few, alternate, lateral branches display distinctive,pinnately, deeply lobe-rounded leaves which are easily identifiable due to their unique shape, reducing in size near the top of the plant. Multiple, extremely showy, bright yellow flowers appear as a terminal inflorescence of numerous flower heads with some unopened buds. Yellow center disc flowers are surrounded by yellow ray flowers. Flower are of small size around 1" in width. Found in rocky, disturbed soils in flood plain in a mixed sun/shade area and dry soil.
