We noted dark legs, larger size than the LESA, and wings longer than the tail. Although this bird was feeding with smaller peeps and got its feet wet, we noted that it did not wade into deeper water, and it picked its food without probing. We also noted its buffy breast-band, white flanks with no streaking, and body posture parallel to ground when feeding (no upward tail-tilting). The small flock spooked and flew several times with shadow of overhead gulls but returned to same shore. We saw no white rump.
