Description

This was the spectacular find of the day. This day-flying moth is about 1 to 1-1/4 inches long. I noticed it flying away from its larval food plant, buffalo (coyote) gourd, Cucurbita foetidissima. This was a Lifer for me and only the 2nd or 3rd species in the family that I've documented.
