Apparenlty LOTS of these in the park, they were laying eggs when we were there and apparently numbers of them are out and about on land in the morning. We came across this latecome in the early afternoon. This individual had just come from the dry side of the road / containment berm. she stopped when she saw us, then "scurried" across the road and into the water on the other side.
We found doxens of raided nests along the paths and tracks.
