This female Golden-crowned Emerald was perched in a difficult spot for photos; directly in the sun from us. A flash helped out somewhat, but still tough shots. Note the tail which is considerably longer than the folded wings and the dinky bill with red lower mandible. Saw the male briefly, but no photos. Endemic species to western Mexico.
