Description

Texas Spotted Whiptail (Aspidoscelis gularis) female. Found under flat limestone rock mid-morning, high overcast skies in Tamaulipan Thornscrub habitat on rocky slope. Open ceniza (Leucophyllum) slope near tin shed. Discovered by Marissa Lamb, UT Vertebrate Natural History (BIOL 455L) class student under direction of UT faculty Dr. Tom Devitt. Photographed and released at capture site.
