two seahorses found and photographed by Dr. Joaquim Rodrigo Garza and his students at a very shallow scientific diving transect to estimate seabed cover, close to the UNAM station at Sisal, Yucatán,México. The seabed consisted of Limestone rock covered by a thin layer of sand. Perhaps not the expected seahorse habitat as there were relatively few hiding spots. The ornamentation and color match are evidence of the adaptation and mimic capacity of these animals.
