Description

Here's Phacellophora camtschatica, known locally as Fried-egg Jelly and on this site as Egg-yolk Jelly. Seen from above, this jelly really does look like a giant fried egg! This one is about 12" across, a typical size. I saw it looking down from the pier. It was the first I've seen this summer. At times in summer you can see a dozen or so at once in this area.
