Description

Huckleberry Botanic Preserve has been hit pretty hard by Sudden Oak Death. There's been quite a bit of oak mortality, and many of the living show symptoms. In the photos here, you can see some: dark weeping wounds, infestation by beetles and the fungus Hypoxylon, and foliar infections on the surrounding CA Bay Laurels. While none of these symptoms are definitive (though the weeping is a very good/bad sign), together they're highly suggestive.
