About

There is only one native genus of bees in the Hawaiian Islands - Hylaeus (the yellow-faced bees). There are over 60 species in this genus that occur nowhere else but in Hawaii, 7 of which were recently added to the endangered species list. This purpose of this project is to document the bees (and bee allies) on the Big Island - including Hylaeus and the non-native species.
