Two Joshua Tree National Park Field Classes with iNaturalist

The Desert Institute, a program of the Joshua Tree National Park Association, is providing two unique iNaturalist experiences in Joshua Tree National Park this fall.

On October 18th, "iNaturalist for Families" will be taught by Simone Steger, a Youth Technology Leader. This class is designed for children and their guardians, and it provides a fun way to involve kids with science and technology in the field.

It will be our first iNaturalist project ever. To find out more, please visit this website:

On November 1st, Russ Di Fiori, a professor of biology at Pasadena City College, will be also teaching an iNaturalist-themed field class. His two-day class for adults is titled "iNaturalist: Join the Society of 21st Century Naturalists," and it also includes a camping option. It is going to be an intensive and fun outdoor experience in Joshua Tree National Park.
