Ecology and Systematics of Diatoms

The project is for observations of diatoms made by students in the Ecology and Systematics of Diatoms course at Iowa Lakeside Laboratory. Please note that student observations are reviewed by TRAINED DIATOM EXPERTS AND INSTRUCTORS OF THE COURSE. If you do not have expert knowledge of diatoms, please refrain from
demoting the observation to broader classification groups. Please do not undo the hard work of students making species level identifications. Thank you for your cooperation!
