This is truly an amazing information for me. The priest of the sacred grove shoved me this 'vine' and he claimed this is Strychnine tree. I thought he was talking about the sapling, but he claimed its another Strychnine 'vine' tree. Here I found a word for such trees - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liana.
The plant is native to Southeast Asia and Australia normally in tropical and subtropical areas.
Strychnine is a deadly poison with a lethal dose to humans of about 30 to 120 mg. Strychnine tree is an important component to prepare one of the powerful medicines in Toxicology. It is used for the cure of the headache caused due to snakebite. It is also applied on the area of the snake bite.
I thank the temple authority of Kuracode Mahakavu Temple near Anjilicode Kottarakara, for letting me photograph these trees and plants. These few picture are from an ancient sacred grove
