This species is known from the type locality (Benjamin Constant, Alto Solimões, Amazonas State, Brazil), and also from Leticia, Amazonas Department, Colombia.
There is no information on the population status of this species, which was only recently found in Colombia.
It occurs and reproduces along forest streams, where it lays its eggs on vegetation above streams into which the larvae drop and develop.
There is no information on specific threats to this species, although the sites near Leticia are threatened by logging.
It is not known to occur within a protected area. Further research is needed into the distribution and population status of this species.
Listed as Data Deficient in view of continuing uncertainties as to its extent of occurrence, status and ecological requirements.
