The City of Hollywood is a Tree City USA and is working towards becoming a Certified Community Wildlife Habitat! As we work to maximize the benefits of these accolades, let’s document the great biological diversity that exists here in Hollywood!
Through citizen science collaboration, individuals can document the trees and plants in their yards and streets and the critters that depend on them. We will document the birds and butterflies that call our City home and those just passing through.
When we begin to understand the great biodiversity that our City supports, we can begin to make wise choices about landscaping and street trees to encourage wildlife and make connections between natural areas and naturally diverse streets and yards.
Use this iNaturalist project to get better acquainted with the nature around you. Contributing to the inventory is a great project for gardeners and birders, anyone looking to learn more about the species around them, and an excellent educational supplement for children of all ages.
