Taxonomy - Erebidae | Arctiinae | Arctiini - Creatonotos "gangis"
What has usually been identified here on iNat and elsewhere in the digital and physical publication world as Creatonotos gangis from South Asia is probably not gangis but interrupta

and https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0194200 - Figure 1; Indian clade, "gang 25 to 31", perhaps also with 12, 13, 32 & 32, likely represents the Dubatolov concept of interrupta.
Problem is the lectotype of interrupta is not known (maybe lost), so probably there is no way to currently be certain as to which name should be applied for the Indian populations of "gangis".
To get round this issue, there is a "complex" taxon created to put Indian "gangis" observations into . . .
