Michigan is an incredibly large, biologically diverse state which is home to an enormous diversity of insects, from bugs to butterflies to beetles. They play major roles in the ecosystem, including decomposition of dead matter and pollination of flower. They are also found in just about every trophic category, from predators to seed-eaters, leaf specialists, and omnivores. The purpose of this project is to catalogue the broad diversity of insect life in the state of Michigan. less ↑
