Terrestrial Mollusks of Texas

Texas is home to several different species of native land snails. We even have many non-native species that have been introduced into the state by accident and on purpose. Land Snails of Texas is an effort to learn more about the distribution of species in the state and also to keep an eye out for new non-native species that might show up here. Fortunately, many land snails are identifiable simply from their empty shells. So, feel free to post your images of both live land snails and any empty shells you find. less ↑
