SMNHC staff traveled to Whitfield Wildlife Conservation Area to prepare for a series of programs scheduled for the winter. While we were there we took the opportunity to do some nature mapping and begin using this new format on inaturalist.
The goal of this project is to create a statewide species map for mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians in New Mexico.
Anyone is free to add to this project, and we would love for students and classrooms to take part!
