Interactive Heatmaps in iNaturalist!

iNaturalist has added interactive heatmaps to projects. This gives users a quick way to see observation hotspots and identify empty areas in need of attention. Check it out!

Someone pointed out to me today that this awesome map hack isn't working right now :-( I had a post about it too.

@yerbasanta i don’t know. Though it’s easy to do a search in iNaturalist for observations of any species and view a map

This map shows inat has heavy use among folks of (likely) many skill levels but far fewer experts putting in the time to inform observations. Neat, nonetheless.
