Out looking for slime molds today. Found this one which I believe is Stemonitopsis typhina; will wait to see what the next stage is.
both photos are from my compost bin. The fungus is growing on the plastic covering and also the compost. Great patterning

White unformed mass which turns black over time.
Pale yellow/white on rotting log, all of my photos turned out about like this.
Slime mold that resembles reddish/pink cotton candy. Tiny and beautiful.
A slime mold. Fluffy yellow sporangia that look like tiny clumps of cotton candy.
Saw these up near El Sombroso in Sierra Azul today. We're thinking ladybug eggs but maybe a slime mold?
At first thought this was a Witch's Butter fungus, but it looks more like web images of the Dog Vomit slime mold (yellow cauliflower rather than yellow butter lettuce).
