This project conducted by Ecodiversidad Colombia Foundation, arises as answer to the opportunity to involve the community in the amphibian conservation and the wide variety of wildlife of the region, which is located in the eastern Colombian Andes, using this animal group as flagship species to achieve the nature conservation. This conservationist project also seeks to promote the active participation of the community in the solution of the environmental problems that they are facing in their municipality, through the building of a conservation awareness where the scientific knowledge, environmental sensitization, the adequate natural resource management and appropriation of nature are the main pillars of this initiative. less ↑
