Welcome to the UConn BioBlitz

Hello everybody and welcome to the UConn BioBlitz iNaturalist project. During July 24th and 25th 2015 the UConn Storrs campus will be holding a 24-hour fervent inventory of all the biodiversity we can spot, from forests to wetlands, fields, rivers, and ponds. Every single species, large or small, showy or cryptic, will count.

Taxonomists and naturalists from different organism groups will come to collect and identify plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms, and everybody is invited to join. We have a schedule full of events and workshops, but even if you just want to drop by and have a look you will be welcome.

You can check all the information in our website:

We plan to use iNaturalist as the tool to report and summarize all the observations. If you are interested in volunteering to help us reporting all the species, please sign up here:

We will be holding training sessions before and during the even, including the use of the iNaturalist app. Stay tuned!
