The purpose of this project is to document the species and natural communities found in the US state of Vermont. In particular, we are looking for information on state significant species, but any data is of value. Please include a photo (except in the case of identifying birds by call) and include a location, including accuracy information.

In the case of natural communities, please document one of the plants that is important in the natural community and tag the observation with 'natural community'.

Please obscure the location of any state significant or otherwise sensitive species.

This project only includes native or naturalized species. This includes invasive species and garden escapes but does not include things planted in yards and gardens, or pets. It's worth tracking garden plants to note when they bloom and flower, but it's not part of this project.
