This rather large (10+ ft) animal was resting on a fallen log in the cypress swamp (near the Lettuce Lakes) at Corkscrew Swamp.
Surprisingly, this little 4 to 5 ft alligator was the first one we've seen all week here in the Sanibel area. This one was resting at the edge of Wildlife Drive on Ding Darling NWR.
Several of various ages in pond.

DOR. Certainly one of the more interesting road kills I've come across. Two local fisherman drug it out of the road after it was hit a few hours before I came along.
