Record from Cleveland Metroparks Backyard Biodiversity Bash 2015
Naturalists & natural resource professionals at Cleveland Metroparks were assisted by local experts (Lake Erie Allegheny Partnership for Biodiversity, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, many volunteers) in the annual bioblitz of a constructed wetland behind the Watershed Stewardship Center, and meadow above a former landfill.

Medium-sized grasshopper. This female is of the "blue form" of this species. Flushed from tall grass along riparian corridor (intermittent stream) in flat, shortgrass prairie habitat, complete with prairie dog town.
I presented to the North Texas Master Naturalist chapter last night on iNaturalist, so I went into work this morning a bit late... I stopped by this little food mart for some breakfast and of course, noticed some of the critters and plants outside. :)
