Description from Wikipedia

The Jamaican Woodpecker (Melanerpes radiolatus) is a species of bird in the Picidae family. It is endemic to Jamaica. It is known locally simply as 'Wodpecker'. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
