Tomato frog / tomatenkikker (Dyscophus antongilii) - Exotic Reserve Peyrieras, Madagascar
Captive specimen
I am certain it is genus Dyscophus.
I assumed this was Dyscophus antongilii.
Can anybody tell if I am correct?
If anybody can tell for sure if it is Dyscophus antongilii or one of the other 2 Dyscophus species, please comment!
The Tomato Frog or Crapaud Rouge De Madagascar (Dyscophus antongilii) is a species of frog in the Microhylidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, arable land, plantations , rural gardens, urban areas, heavily degraded former forest, ponds, and canals and ditches. It is threatened by habitat loss.
