Description

Semi-arid bush country near Lake Eyasi. I found lots of these when excavating sand in a dry stream bed.

The Common Sand Frog (Tomopterna cryptotis) is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly Benin, possibly Burkina Faso, possibly Central African Republic, possibly Chad, and possibly Guinea.
