The Shasta Salamander (Hydromantes shastae) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is endemic to the United States.

    Critically Imperiled. Small range in a small region of northern California; known from 61 sites, which may represent a couple dozen distinct occurrences; often associated with limestone but may not be as habitat-restricted as previously thought; some genetically distinct populations are threatened by a rise in Lake Shasta water level.
