The Italian Crested Newt (Triturus carnifex) is a species of salamander in the Salamandridae family. It is found in Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
