Description

Brookesia tuberculata located at the base of a tree in Montagne d'Ambre National Park. 3 females and 1 male were found within several minutes, all around the same cluster of trees near the main campsite in the park.

Brookesia is a genus of chameleons found in Madagascar, that range from small to very small in size, and are known collectively as Leaf Chameleons. It includes the species considered to be the world's smallest chameleons, and are also among the smallest reptiles. They are largely brown and most are essentially terrestrial.
