This is the last gecko I stopped to take pics of but we did see more alive and DOR. In total I believe we saw 15 with 8-9 live and rest DOR.
Another live one, this a cute juvenile found on way out of Borrego Springs.
Finally found a few live geckos on the road to even out the DOR's.
Found another live one with regrown tail minute after finding the previous one.
We finally found a few geckos alive on road and caught for close ups.
One of of about 15 geckos we found on the roads, this one recently hit and tail was still moving.
After the park we continued on the roads and found our first gecko of the season on a road, 3rd of the night. This one actually ran towards me and jumped on my foot. We did find a 4th gecko DOR but did not take any pics. Temp was in mid to upper 70's still.
First herp of night was this gecko which I believe is the same one I flipped a few days ago, this time it was out open so got a few pics. Also saw one more in a sprinkler housing but did not get any pics.
It's getting to be that time of year again so I headed to desert to see if any early herps moving. Started with a drive on back roads around ocotillo but only saw utas sunning. Temp was mid 70's. Then made my usual stop at the community park and flipped the cutest gecko under a garbage can and took plenty of pics.
2nd gecko found road cruising, took pics and let go.
1st of 2 geckos found while road cruising, this one had such a nice pattern it was hard to not take it home, but we did let it go after taking pics.
