Description from Wikipedia

The Crowned Snakes are a group of snakes belonging to the genus Drysdalia native to parts of southern and eastern Australia. The 4 species in this genus are venomous, but not considered deadly. They are relatively small sized snakes, averaging about 50 cm in length. They are normally brown in colour and inhabit woodlands, swamps and heathland where they feed on frogs and lizards.
