I was not able to make a photo of thia lizard, I had a couple of minutesenough time to observe it within the thalus. Careful re-examination of this area is necessary to document this population. This species is very narrowly distributed in Armenia, known just from few localities in Kotayk marz, and hasen't been documented for many years.
Chernov's skink (Ablepharus chernovi) is a species of skink native to Armenia, eastern Turkey, northern Syria and the valleys of the Arax River, Zanga River and Razden Rivers in the Caucasus. The species were included in Red Data Book of the USSR in 1984, and in Armenian one following 3 years later.
